“This project will directly improve public safety and infrastructure in Red Bay by providing much needed lighting to areas of concern for residents and drivers,” said Congressman Robert Aderholt. “I was glad to help secure and support funding for this project because nighttime lighting increases visibility, strengthens community confidence, and reduces opportunities for criminal activity.”

“As Chairman of the Appropriations Subcommittee overseeing health funding, I was proud to secure and advance the Rural Hospital Provider Assistance Program through the Fiscal Year 2026 Consolidated Appropriations Act,” said Congressman Robert Aderholt. “This initiative reflects a deliberate commitment to ensuring our rural hospitals have the resources they need to survive and serve their communities. Through this program, eligible hospitals will receive direct financial assistance to help maintain and strengthen essential healthcare services.”

“Taxpayer dollars should never be used in secret to settle cases involving misconduct,” said Congressman Aderholt. “The American people deserve transparency and accountability from those elected to serve them. This resolution ensures that Members of Congress are held to a clear standard and cannot quietly resolve serious allegations without public disclosure.”

“By requiring Members to publicly disclose settlements paid with taxpayer funds, this resolution brings much-needed sunlight to the process,” Aderholt added. “Greater transparency will help restore trust in Congress and ensure that misconduct is not hidden from the people we represent.”
